NCD Customer Information System (CIS) Overview Documentation

Description

Documentation providing a general overview on the features of the NCD CIS system that I personally designed and implemented while managing the information systems and information technology teams at Network Computing Devices, Inc.  This overview document shows how the system integrates with the primary customer facing functions and departments of the organization. The features implemented in the system were provided through detailed analysis and input from multiple cross-functional teams from each respective business area.

This system was build from the ground-up, and was implemented using the rapid application development (RAD) tools available through Remedy ARS, combined with a geographically replicated Oracle RDBMS backend with storage location in Beaverton, OR, Mountain View, CA, and Novato, CA. Reporting was accomplished using standard Oracle PL/SQL reports and Crystal Reports software.
